Live Scan is a criminal background check usually needed for an employer or institution. We carry the latest and most up to date machines to make your live scan experience quick and effortless between the Monterey Peninsula and the Salinas Valley. We’re also portable if you have a group that needs us to meet you at an off-site location.
What is Live Scan?
Live scan fingerprinting refers to both the technique and the technology to capture fingerprints and palm prints electronically, without the need for the more traditional method of ink and paper.
Who needs Live Scan?
All types of individuals are required by the state and federal governments to get Live Scan, including (but not limited to): realtors, notaries, foster parents, teachers, massage therapists, appraisers, caregivers, investment brokers, contractors, nurses, doctors, security guards, volunteers, and lawyers.
How does the process work?
Your fingerprints are processed electronically and transmitted immediately to the central computers at the Department of Justice (DOJ) for processing. The Live Scan process gets results to employers and licensing agencies within days.
Please note we never receive your results we only process the rolling of finger prints.
What to bring:
Bring the following with you to your fingerprinting appointment:
a. Your completed Request for Live Scan Services application
b. Driver's license or other valid (Current and NOT expired) form of identification such as a passport or State DMV ID.
Other acceptable documentation (Current and NOT expired)
Driver's license or ID card issued by another state
Mexican or Canadian driver's license issued by an authorized agency
U.S. military identification card
Foreign passport if stamped by the immigration and naturalization service
